What to expect
Consultations at Dunedin Osteopathy are tailored to each persons individual needs and preferences.
The focus of the first appointment is to establish the cause of the issue and will take between 30 minutes and an hour. This will start with talking about issues relating to why you came to the clinic and a full medical history. This is to guide the treatment plan and establish if there is any underlying reason you came in. Following this will be a manual examination including testing joints, range of moment and condition, assessing overall posture, and the strength and condition of your muscles.
Following all examinations we should have a good idea of what is the cause of your issue and we will start treatment. Each person will have a individualised treatment plan. This will comprise of hand on treatment and exercises that you will complete at home.
